Research Protocol Development

10.10.2016

Welcome!

I am Research Psychologist, who after teaching students in the humanities faculty for almost a decade, took a student seat in the Masters Clinical Epidemiology classroom at Stellenbosch University.

I have many students and colleagues who struggle with protocol development and some are challenged by specific sections while writing their proposals.

This website is not only a space to showcase my portfolio of evidence of learning but can also be used by you as a resource to help with your protocol development.

Learning about research proposal writing is not an easy task and it means spending countless hours learning how to formulate research questions, long nights scanning journal articles, doing transcriptions with cramping fingers, reading and re-reading and re-reading statistics textbooks, changing your mind and formulating your research question for the tenth time…then spending an emotional day watching telly and browsing Facebook for inspiration…followed by an intense need to travel the world…to eventually just sitting down and planning your protocol around the first research question you came up with.

Each tab will provide you with some content and my personal reflections through my journey of protocol development.

Feel free to drop me a comment or question.

Greatness is just a click away.
